Do you find that your thinking takes you to an worrisome concern in the future or back to an unpleasant part of your past? Sure, we all have these moments. We look back at decisions in our life that we may want to have redo on. Likewise, we look at potential future events in our lives and create fears as if they are actually destined to happen

Typically, we can bring our thoughts back to the present and we feel fine. However, when the unwanted thoughts persist and are difficult to keep in the present, the anxiety and stress generated eat into a person’s wellbeing. You may find yourself with muscle tension, or perhaps sleepless nights with racing thoughts. Stress and anxiety can compromise your immune system and you may find yourself with every cold and flu that passes through the office at work. You can find your relationships strained and unsatisfying. 

Thoughts are going to proceed feelings. By examining this relationship between your thoughts and feelings and the unhelpful patterns they create, we will mutually develop a goal directed treatment plan that will directly address these target areas. Rational Emotive Therapy, EMDR, Imagery and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction are approaches and techniques that will allow you to realize your full potential. You will be able to move toward the problem rather than continuing to run from it.
